ShowTelecom, Inc. is a social enterprise of the ICT Davao, Inc. It began as a social experiment during the pandemic when many people - particularly the urban poor and/or those living in the underserved areas of the city - found themselves confined to working from home but lack the required connectivity to do so.
Internet For Everyone
Affordable High-Speed Fiber Internet
ICT Davao identified a heavily populated in Davao City and in partnership with Show Image and Netcom, rolled out a proof of concept or providing FTTH connectivity to the residents not normally served by the big telcos. This connected more than 100 households to the internet and enabled many to access distance learning and remote work. More households are now being prepared for connectivity.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Equitable Access To Critical Infrastructure
As part of our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Nos. 9, 10 and 11 ), we aim to connect up to 10,000 urban poor households by 2028, provide them with training and connect them with the jobs that allows WFH arrangement. This will benefit OSYs, single mothers and working students.
